Daniel E. Stobbe, MD, FACNP, is a Fresno native and Bullard High School alumni. His higher education began at the University of California, Davis, where he graduated with honors earning a bachelor of science degree in biology and philosophy.
He attended medical school at the University of California, Irvine, and served as president of the Class of 1990. After graduation, he received training in internal medicine and later pursued a fellowship in nuclear medicine in Southern California.
A leader in the fight to advance cancer detecting technology
Dr. Stobbe’s involvement in PET (Positron Emission Tomography) technology began in 1992, when he performed original research in PET imaging and its use in ovarian carcinoma. His advanced training in PET imaging was obtained at the University of California’s prestigious Ahmanson Biological Imaging Center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Stobbe first received his board certification in nuclear medicine in 1994. In the Fall of 2003, he became dual board-certified when he attained re-certification in nuclear medicine while also achieving board certification in nuclear cardiology.
A former director at Saint Agnes Medical Center
After returning to Fresno in 1994, Dr. Stobbe practiced at Saint Agnes Medical Center and served as medical director of the nuclear medicine section from 1999 through 2002. In 1998, he was the first physician to introduce PET imaging to the patients of the Central Valley. In September 2002, Dr. Stobbe opened Valley Metabolic Imaging - Fresno’s first full-time PET imaging facility.
Fresno’s only Fellow of the American College of Nuclear Physicians
Dr. Stobbe is a well-regarded and highly recognized member of the nuclear medicine community and has authored or co-authored over two dozen medical publications during his career. He is Fresno’s only physician to have achieved the honored designation of Fellow of the American College of Nuclear Physicians.
A mentor to the medical community
Dr. Stobbe is past president of the California Chapter of the American College of Nuclear Physicians. He served as an assistant clinical professor for the UCSF School of Medicine - Fresno Medical Education Program for seven years. He is actively involved in a variety of medical and community organizations and is currently a member of the Board of Governors for the Fresno Madera Medical Society as well as a Member of the Board of the Central California Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Dr. Stobbe and his wife, Maria, are avid bicyclists and enjoy the company of their cats, Possum, Rachel, and Nexie.

Jaideep S. Sohi, M.D.joined Valley Metabolic Imaging in 2007 after completing a prestigious fellowship in PET/CT at Johns Hopkins University.
He completed his Nuclear Medicine residency in 2006 at one of the Nation’s top rated program’s at the University of Iowa. Dr. Sohi was the president of Student Government while in medical school and received several awards through his academic career including Best Academic Poster, University of Iowa Department Of Radiology’s Postgraduate Seminar and Resident’s Research Program in 2006. He also scored 3rd highest marks in the nation on the Internal Medicine in-training exam.
He is a high achiever who has been involved in research, presentations, writing, and teaching. Dr. Sohi has published 19 articles and scientific research findings in international medical journals and publications and understands the importance that concise, accurate, and timely interpretation of diagnostic imaging studies plays in the daily practice of medicine. Dr.
Sohi is a citizen of the United States and fluently speaks English, Hindi and Punjabi. He enjoys traveling, working out, and spending time with his family. His extensive experience in myocardial perfusion SPECT and cardiac PET imaging makes him that natural fit for the VMI physician team.
